It's About Time

...That I pay a bit more attention to this poor ole blog of mine, as well as my crafty blog. I am such a procrastinator!!

Hmmm...Let's see what is new...What is new!!

Well, I took Miss.Z swimming yesterday. We went with Lottie and her son Cole, who had a fantastic time. Cole was jumping, smiling, splashing and having a grand old time. Zaria, on the other hand, was not enjoying it anywhere near as much. She spent her time in the pool, firmly attached to me! She had her arms wrapped securely around my neck as she shivered with terror. Poor little girl just doesn't see the fun in swimming yet. I am hoping she will enjoy it eventually, I will keep trying.

We were in the pool for about a half an hour and she was scared almost the entire time but towards the last few minutes, she seemed to let go a little. She did have a crying fit as we were getting out though, but that is because I took away the noodle that I was using to coax in to letting go of my neck...LOL!!

Hopefully she will be okay with swimming, sooner rather than later!

I AM A Quitter...

and super proud of it! Today I thought of the fact that just over 2 years ago, I quit smoking. It seems like forever ago! I never thought I would be a "non-smoker" and here I am. YAY ME!!!

Mr. L says it feels like I was never a smoker. Although the craving still hits me once in a while, I can't imagine actually smoking a cigarette. I am also lucky enough to have neighbors that are heavy smokers *insert sarcasm here*...The smell wafting over here is nauseating enough to keep me away from smoking!

Forgive me Blog readers, for I have "Blog sinned", It has been so long since I last blogged.

Ok, it really has been a LONG time since I last blogged *slap on hand* I should be ashamed to call myself a blogger. I must hang my head in shame now.

Anywho, I thought I would post something that I was supposed to blog many moons ago!!! Some of you may remember Mr. L's "Popcorn Debacle", if not, check the older posts. Well, I must admit that I too have made the same error.

I was popping popcorn in the microwave but I forgot and left the room. We put the popcorn in for 5 mins but never leave it in that long as it will turn out VERY bad!! I usually stand there watching it to make sure the bag keeps turning (we have a small microwave) and stop it when it is ready.

So anyway, I left the room and forgot about the popcorn until...I smelled burning...burning popcorn...Oh there was smoke and stink for many days!! LOL...Mrs.A now has had her own "Popcorn Debacle"

10 Acre Truck Stop

Ladies and gentlemen, I am reporting to you live from the 10 Acre Truck Stop. That's right, I am abroad!!

Things here are pretty calm, a few truckers. Surprisingly, they are eating!! LOL...It is a restraunt :P

Anywho, I just thought I would type out a little blog while I was out and about with my sister. No real reason for this blog except that I can. My sister got a new laptop and it is WICKED AWESOME!! I know what I want to get now...Tee hee hee. Ok, I am off now. We are going to the next place...Toodles for now!!

A Moment Of Silence...

For reading something good.

Today, Miss.Z and I went to visit a friend (*L*) and washed some diapers. *L* has a son that is 4 months younger than Miss.Z and they get along really well. Anywho, *L's* son went down for a nap and Miss.Z followed soon after. I brought with me, a few books that I had picked up second hand, so *L* and I started to look through them. The house was so quiet and the two of us talked a little but I read a whole article from the "Organic Farmer" book I picked up. Oh my, how nice it was to just sit there on the couch with the radio playing quietly, reading something, anything!!! I was just happy to have that quiet moment to read.

It sure has been a loooooong time since I've sat quietly and read anything. I think I need to make it a goal for myself that I will take some time, to read every night!!

I'll let you know how that goes! I will also be back to tell you about the "Organic Farmer" book from 1976 that I bought at a second hand shop. WOOT!!

Rotilicious

Mmmmmm....Good food!! My sister and I went to Ajax today and she bought me lunch at a Caribbean place called Rotilicious, we got Chicken Rotis and Pholourie. My sister also got something called potato balls...Let me tell you, that was some very tasty food!!! I am in love!! I sure do love the SOOOOOOOOOOUL food...LOL!!

I am now in the process of trying to find the perfect Roti recipe as I would love to make these myself. It's funny, I was actually looking for Indian recipes yesterday and came across a recipe for Roti and thought it would be nice to try it. Now I MUST make it :) I will be sure to post pictures once I find the perfect recipe.

I'm So Sneaky...Tee hee hee!!

My boyfriend has this thing about healthy food...He just won't eat it. I mean, he likes some stuff but not the stuff that Miss. Z and I will eat. Pretty bad when they baby will try things and he won't....LOL!!

Anywho...Tonight, I made a stir fry for supper and I was sneaky by adding some tofu...Muwahh ha ha ha ha Muuuaaahhhh ha ha ha ha ha!!!!! That is something Mr.L just refuses to try. I am not sure what the big deal is, it isn't as bad as he thinks it is and of course it's good for you. The baby eats tofu ALL the time and she seems to like it. It's funny, she likes a lot of things that most kids would hate and hates the normal things that kids like. I just hope she stays that way because so far, she is not big on the sweets at all!!

Back to business!! Mr.L has just finished the sneaky stir fry as I type this!! I will now tell him it was in there by reading him this Blob entry. Please stand by for reaction...

He told me to type that he is in the bathroom throwing up...LOL!! He had a weird look on his face as I was reading it. He is still alive and I think I will continue to sneak in the healthy foods when I can.
